Profile  Ramzy Kahhat

Ramzy Kahhat is an Assistant Research Professor at the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University. Ramzy obtained his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the same university focusing on the sustainable management of electronic waste (e-waste). His current research focuses on the development of methodologies to characterize and quantify the international flow of e-waste. Moreover, he also investigates about the creation of sustainable management systems in order to manage e-waste properly in specific locations and around the globe. Ramzy has also studied and researched about the environmental impacts of residential buildings using the life cycle assessment methodology. In the past, he has been involved in a number of mine projects; such as environmental impact assessments, baseline monitoring, and aquifer characterization in Peru.
